Model 1861 U.S. Percussion rifle musket. Musket is a contract Charles B. Hoard of Watertown, NY. 12,800 were made between 1863-65. Wood is good, shows handling wear. Barrel, lock and hammer are in bright finish. Musket looks to have been cleaned. Lock plate and barrel are both dated 1864. Very nice Civil War contract musket!
