Winchester Model 1892 sporting rifle with 24 inch factory octagon barrel .44-40wcf. The serial number of this rifle is 140782 placing date of manufacture in 1896 (antique). Overall condition is very good with a mix of original factory blue and patina. The bore is also very good with strong rifling and shine from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate an 8.5 on a 1 to 10 scale. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect with no damage or evidence of sanding. No license needed for shipment.
