RUGER NO. 1 AB OR #1 A-B LIGHT SPORTER SINGLE SHOT 1ST YEAR PRODUCTION .308 WIN. CAL. RIFLE, CIRCA 1966. 22” barrel. Period Ruger verticle scope rings. Factory quick detachable sling swivels. First year 5xx (no prefix) serial range. All original and very near mint condition with 100% blue. Near mint very finely figured checkered walnut stock and forend seen only on these very early models. 4mm hairline to left wrist leaving upper tang(easy repair). Original Ruger factory hard rubber pad just beginning to shrink(attest to its originality). Mint bore and perfect working order. Scarce early model configuration. Weighs 7 1/4" lbs.
