This Springfield Armory Model U.S. 1898 is a right hand bolt action repeating rifle in .30-40 Krag Cal. It has a 30 inch barrel and smooth grip hardwood straight stock. It is the 1st smokeless powder bolt action box magazine repeating firearm adopted by the U.S. In service the late 1800's thru the early 1900's. In overall good condition for its age it comes as is.
