Description:
S&W New Model No. 3 in .44-40. SN #174 puts this Mfg. date 1877-1878. 6 1/2" barrel. 6 shot cylinder. Top break design. Good bore for age, clear rifling with some scattered pitting. Hard rubber grips are in good condition. Some wear to checkering and a slight crack on bottom left side grip. Metal has been reblued at sometime but is in good condition for age with some pitting on the barrel and cylinder. S/A. Round butt. All matching numbers. Functions smoothly. This is an antique and requires no FFL to purchase.
