Description:
Cal 44-40. Standard configuration 1873 in 44-40. This one shows true Old West flair! All metal has a deep dark brown color with some pitted areas and wear. Sights include the bbl band integral front sight and folding single leaf rear sight. Thumb print dust cover is present as is the saddle ring.Brass buttplate is a replacement utilizing 1866 parts and is ill fitting. Wood is right in stride with a well used look and sporting several scraches, dents and chips out. These 1873's were carried and used like any other important tool in the day. They were protectors and providers. A great piece of history.
