Description:
Colt Officers Model First Issue .38 Colt. This Colt was produced in 1906. Both front and rear sights are adjustable. The pistol's serial number is 261816 with a 6 inch barrel. Frame number 543. The bore is bright with no issues. The chambers are in very fine condition with no wear or pitting. The action is tight with no play and showing little use. The action timing is excellent. The trigger release is crisp. The grips are in fine condition showing very little wear. The grips diamond points are sharp with no flattening. The original finish on the grips is intact with no loss. The cylinder locks up tight to the frame with no play. The sights are original to this pistol. There is no sign of holster wear. The original blued high polish finish would rate a 95% or better condition. The pistol is the flat top style with the rear ajustable target sight. The front sight is ajustable for elevation. The target barrel is a 6 inch as standard. The action is polished and very smooth. The lockup works and times correctly. is a very fine condition early Officers Model Target that has been well cared for all these years. It certainly meets the collectors quality of condition for the Colt and Firearms Collector!
