Massachusetts Arms Co. Maynard 2nd Model carbine. Beautiful example of a 2nd Model Maynard carbine. Lower Tang is dated 1865. Barrel does have original bluing with patina. Frame has brilliant case coloring. Stock has two sharp cartouches. Carbine shows very little use. This is common on most second model due to their late entry in to the Civil War. This is a very fine Maynard 2nd Model carbine!
