Description:
I have for sale my S&W 629 Mountain Gun which was purchased new in the summer of 1995.  This gun was made before S&W put trigger locks on their revolvers and started using MIM parts.  It is in I think very good/great condition.  I have fired about 2200 rounds of mid-range cast bullet loads thru it, so it has very little wear on it.  The main spring screw in the bottom of the grip has been buggered up a bit, but every thing else looks nice.  The wood grips have a few minor dings but no gouges or deep scratches.

Custom Work:
I sent the revolver to Herrett's Custom Stocks and they fitted a set of walnut Roper Gun Stocks to it, and they used brass inserts in the wood where the studs in the revolver frame attach to the grips.
I sent the revolver to Hamilton Bowen of Bowen Classic Arms for an action job/trigger tune.  They also opened the cylinder throats slightly from 0.429" to 0.4305" for better performance with both jacketed and cast bullet loads.  The single action trigger breaks at 3 lbs. even on my RCBS trigger gauge; very sweet double/single action pulls.  Paperwork invoices from Bowen are included for documentation.

There is a three day non-firing inspection period with buyer paying shipping if returned.  Feel free to call/email with questions.
