This is beautiful example of this American classic lever action rimfire. The Marlin Golden 39A is considered one of the finest lever-action .22 rifles ever made in the U.S.A. They are very finely made with a beautiful gloss blue factory finish and great attention to fit and finish from the factory. The Marlin 39A quickly earned a reputation for being reliable and very accurate in addition to being very attractive in design. This 1958 vintage rifle is all-original except for the period installed sling swivels and is in beautiful condition overall. The blue finish rates 95% with just some very minor finish wear showing on the lever and some tiny specs of discoloration on the receiver from specs of prior surface rust. The bore is pristine and bright with strong rifling. There is no pitting or imperfections of any kind visible. The original Walnut stock set is in excellent condition and and free from any cracks, chips, or repairs. The rifle is in perfect working order with a tight action with no slop in it. All of the controls work just like the day it left the factory in '58. If you have been looking for a investment worthy example of this legendary Marlin, this example certainly fits the bill.
