Description:
This pistol is in fair condition for the sole reason of the rust on the top of the barrel. Sadly this corrosion is pretty bad; but the finish elsewhere is in great condition. The nitre bluing on the pins and some of the other components is intact and bright; such as with the barrel tip up lever. The normal bluing has minimal thinning on the hard edges; but-outside of where it failed on the top of the barrel-has held up remarkably well. The grip panels have only a few minor marks on them and do not appear to be cracked or have sustained much outside of handling wear. The bore on this pistol is truly in excellent condition with brilliant shine and strong rifling. It might not be a museum quality example of a Pieper Patent Steyr; but it should be a top level shooter grade one.
