Except those listed as Payment Types Accepted: Bank Checks / Money Orders Description: On Hold / Pending Funds / Joslyn Model 1864 Breechloading Carbine with Naval Anchor, serial #8540, cal. 52 RF, has a 22" barrel with a very good bore along with strong rifling. The metal surface on the barrel retains 95% original blue the remaining parts a dull gray/blue patina with some minor oxidation. The sideplate is stamped JOSLYN FIREARMS / STONINGTON CONN / 1864. The walnut stock rates about very good with two sharp inspector's cartouches "FDL" above the saddle ring bar along with what appears to be a Naval Anchor mark forward of the triggerguard, there are a few dings and handling marks attributed to a fielded weapon but nothing distracting or alarming. The left rear of the barrel is marked "G.W.S.", while the top of the buttplate is marked "U.S." with a "FDL" cartouche forward of this. The breechblocks serial number is matching to the upper tang. Rifle has no issues, functions correctly, firing pin floats freely, breech open as its suppose to, hammer works as it should.
