The barrel is 21 1/2" in length and the bore condition is excellent to near mint. The rifle has a brass buttplate, patch box and barrel band. The metal condition of this rifle is smooth with no pitting which is very rare. It is in perfect working condition. This conant gas seal in the breach block is in very good condition. Sub inspectors mark "S" is on barrel. Sharps Patent 1852 on lock plate. Sharps Rifle Manufg. Co. Hartford, Conn. on the barrel. All markings are clear with no wear. Gun has the original sights. Deep impressed arsenal number on buttstock. Lots of original finish on the stock. This rifle is in the "Beechers Bible Range" serial number 14644.
