Description:
These are rather hard to come by and this one is in what we would call very good condition with an excellent bore, all original with minor wear from careful use. It has a 3 digit serial number which means it was manufactured in the first couple of days of production. Lots of original blue with some areas starting to turn slightly brown. I remember carrying one of these on a trap line when I was just a boy and that little rifle accounted for numerous creatures, from crows to whitetails - I even cast bullets and reloaded for the rifle at the time. They are just as light and handy as I remember. This one is the rifle with the 23.5 inch barrel as opposed to the carbine which is much more rare (with a 17.5 inch barrel). The early 3 digit serial number makes it especially nice.
