CASE-COLORED Belgian Double Action REVOLVER C&R
Early 20th Century Belgian Revolver
Here we present a Double Action Revolver, manufactured in Liege, Belgium circa the early-20th Century and appears to bear the small maker’s mark of Emile Fraipont. It is not unlike the “British Bulldog” revolvers in many ways, though this one is certainly on the higher end of quality and aesthetics. This revolver is full-sized and would have been worn in a holster on the belt by law enforcement or an armed civilian. It features a very nice case-colored frame with an interesting barrel profile that begins octagonally, transitions to round, and ends with a reinforced rounded barrel crown. The frame and cylinder are littered with Belgian proof marks as you are like to find. Assembly or serial number “11” are found throughout. This is a solid revolver with a smooth, strong action that has a lot of appeal to the eye.
The overall condition is fine. Blue finish is 90% with vibrant case colors. The markings are clear. Numbers match. The hardwood grips are in great shape. Bore is in fine shape with clean surfaces and sharp rifling. The action is excellent.
