Description:
This is serial number 465 and is one of the 500 Model 1865 rifles purchased by the Canadian Government. This would match the Canadian Colonial Government order for 500 rifles. According to Herbert Buckland the 500 rifles were issued to Canadian survey teams and scouts. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The 6 groove bore is excellent bright and shiny. There is one inspector stamp on the barrel left flat at the frame. The blue and case colors are 95% and it comes with an original leather sling. This rifle is a real beauty. The condition of this rifle is a stunning.
