Description:
Antique powder flask with the "James Dxon & Son Improved Patent" name. This name was replaced in 1836 with "Sons" when Dixon's second son entered the business. This is a medallion style flask and shown in Riling # 696. It has a 4 step charger for 2 1/4 to 3 drams and the Secret Spring top. There a few dents at the base, shown in the photos but it is in remarkable shape for being nearly 200 years old. The charger adjusts like it should, all the seams are tight and it has a strong spring. This is rare and very difficult to find. Please email or call Raff at 817-220-0565 if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.
