Curio/Relic: Yes
Manufacturer: A Pre-64 Model 70, manufactured in 1961 - S# 510568
Caliber Info: .30-06 Springfield.
Metal Condition: Good for age and use of rifle, but shows some blue wear along edges, the bolt knob and a couple of spots on the barrel.
Wood Condition: Good with some small dings, dents and scratches, and some sanding is suspected with a coat or two of lacquer finish applied.
Bore Condition: Good rifling with good shine.
Barrels: 24" Barrel.
Triggers: Single.
Stock: Checkered walnut.
Stock Dimensions:
12 1/2" Length of pull. It's 1" short of standard length of pull, which is 13 1/2".
Fore End: Checkered. Please Note: The screw joining the forend and barrel together is missing. See the last photo, which shows the bottom of the forend and missing screw.
Butt Pad: Vintage White Line recoil pad.
Weight: 9 Lbs. with scope, rings and bases.
Sights: Leupold Vari-X IlI Matte 3.5-10x40mm with a duplex reticle. The scope is in excellent condition. Missing front sight hood.
