Description:
This bayonet is a copy of the German Model 84/98 series but has a lighter blade and the finish is a bit rougher. Overall length is 15" with a 9 3/4" blade. The only markings are “751" on the guard. Edge and false edge remain unsharpened with the exception of the very tip of the edge which has been very lightly sharpened. Metal surfaces are blued and retain about 98% coverage on the blade but the pommel and guard finishes are turning to a plum patina and fading. The metal on the spine of the grips has numerous impact marks. Scabbard is unmarked and retains about 98% blued finish. Very nice example.
