The blade has the original bright polish finish with a darkened tip having dried grease. The Argentine crest on the ricasso is removed which was standard policy for all military items sold by the government for export. This was produced for the Argentine Mauser Model 1891by the Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. Solingen, Germany and is marked on the ricasso. The brightly polished steel crossguard with hooked quillon has some small areas of light corrosion. The aluminum grip scales and pommel retain the original bright polish. The scabbard has 25% loss of the original black finish with correct matching original serial numbers to the bayonet. A very nice model 1891 bayonet that will pair well with your Argentine model Mauser rifle. SOLD Manufacturer: Argentine Model: Bayonet |
