Description:
Smith carbine in 50 caliber, percussion, breechloader. Single shot, loaded by depressing the latch ahead of the trigger which releases barrel allowing it to pivot downward giving the appearance of folding in half. Barrel is 22" round barrel, octagonal to rear of barrel band. Iron mountings, finish blued, with casehardened breech. Walnut stock. Sling ring is mounted on the left side of the breech. Rifle is in excellent condition including barrel bore. Serial number is 3457. Manufactured by American Machine Works Springfield Mass. Very difficult to find a Smith carbine in this great condition. Price is $3,975.00. No FFL required
