Description:
A very nice overall condition Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Rifle in caliber .45-70 with bore that is not great but it is shootable and excellent original wood and metal finish overall. Barrel is 29.5 inches. US marked buttplate. Correct proofs on breechblock and lockplate - both dated 1873. A very nice representative piece but due to bore condition I don't think it will win any matches.
