Description:
Unique Collector's Gun    This shotgun was offered as a sales incentive for investors that purchased 4 shares of Marlin stock. It was manufactured in the late 1920'S  - 1932. It has a slim forearm, that is not typically seen. The more common marlin 410 shotgun has a forearm that is a large, beavertail style with finger grooves on each side. Feedback from the Marlin Firearms  Collector's Association mentioned " The finish on the metal looks like the original finish as applied in the late 1920's / 1930's. The receiver used to make this model 410 shotgun was a model 1893, and the rest of the parts were made up during the production run." The receiver is stamped #4996. This gun has a 26" barrel. The 22" inch barrel is the more common lenght. Overall condition of the gun is good. There are some dings and scratches on the stock. But the original varnish is in good shape. There are some wear marks on the receiver and bluing has some thin areas.
