Description:
1903 manufactured Colt Model 1902 Sporting. Per the included Colt archive letter this first year production gun was shipped to New Yourk, New York Navember 20, 1903. The charcoal blue finish retains almost all of it's original dark shine. The leading edges are all very sharp with no silvering to speak of. There are no penetrating scratches. There is scattered freckling in much of the finish as seen in the photos. Most of the nitre blue remains on the small parts. It has the correct nickel magazine. The bore only shows light wear and rates an 8 out of 10 with strong land and grooves. The checkering is sharp on the grips. The left one has a lot of fading. The right one shows very little fading. Overall a fantastic 115 year old early auto.
