Description:
Scarce early bolt action military rifle built by Kynoch of Aston, England. The Kynoch Rifle utilized surplus French Chassepot parts to build an 11mm metallic cartridge rifle. The barrel and bands retain alot of the original rust blue. No pitting! Stock is excellent, never sanded or refinished. Bore is bright and shinny rifling. Left side of the receiver is marked: Kynoch Patent. Barrel is marked: Kynoch Gun Factory Aston also: Musket 43-77-360 representing 43cal, 77 grs. of 2F and a 360 gr cast lead bullet. Appears to have a very old leather sling with a brass buckle. The French style ramrod is missing. Nice example of an early collectable Military rifle.
