Description:
Sought after and increasingly valuable is the Boy Scouts Of America 1910 to 1985 Limmited Run model with the extra finish (XTR Model) and fancy very nicely figured walnut stock set. In the correct original box with all papers and hardly used the pewter finish receiver and other pewter finish parts (esp the butt plate) have freckeling; although very light it is present. It is most significant on butt plate. All blued surfaces and wood are approx perfect. The imperfections to the pewter parts may be seen in pics of the butt plate but are probably too fine to be seen in the pics of the receiver or barrel bands. The XTR means extra finish to blue and higher grade wood making this gun esp unique. We do not see a single flaw to wood or blued parts.
This gun is being offered at a price that is far under (in some cases 1/2) of what most others are asking BECAUSE of the imperfections to the finish on the satin or pewter parts and lever.
This is a real New Haven Ct made Winchester.
