Description:
This is a high-quality rare hammer gun finished and engraved by master Italian engraver Stefano Pedretti. Prior to focusing his time fully on the engraving of fine guns Stefano finished out and engraved a few guns made in the trade, this one more than likely by Poli. This example is engraved in fine rose and scroll with a woodcock game scene on the floorplate. Gold inlaid bands at the breech of the barrels. Incredibly fine (32 LPI?) checkering. Hand matted rib. Sculped hammers. The barrels are at 99.9% inside and out, as is the checkering. The stock finish remains at 98%+ with 3-4 faint nicks or marks, hardly noticeable. Really a fun gun to shoot and superb quality throughout. Please add $50 for insured, registered mail shipping.
