Originally sold by Army & Navy, CSL.

Serial no. 43720, 29 3/4in. Replacement nitro barrels (from 1961), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and full choke, treble-grip action with carved stylized acanthus leaf fences, automatic safety with blue-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker discs, border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed and blued finish overall.

15” stock including 1 3/8”. wooden extension, 1 1/2” drop at comb, 2 1/4” drop at heel, cast off approx. 1/8”.  Bores are .732” and .736”. Walls measure .035 and .034”. Weight 6lb. 15oz.

Condition: Good condition overall. Action is tight, replacement barrels completed in 1961.  Buttstock is in very good condition, forend wood has small chip (approximately 1/8" x 1/16" - see photos).  Top lever has slight lateral play, but does not affect lock up.

Made by Webley and Scott Revolver and Arms Co, LTD in 1903.
Sold by Army & Navy C.S.L for £30 to F. Shaw Esquire.
A copy of the sales log from Army & Navy is included.

There was a Lt. General Sir Fredrick Charles Shaw in the military at the time (he would have been Lt. Colonel in 1903), but the Army & Navy log says “Esquire”, not Lt. Colonel. Other customers have their rank listed.
