Description:
The serial number on this Spencer Carbine is 47526 and was made in 1863. It has a 22” barrel with a very good bore and strong rifling. The mechanical function is very good, crisp and tight. The receiver is marked Spencer Repeating Rifle Co. Boston, Mass. 1860. There is a partial cartouche on the left wrist behind the saddle ring bar. This is 52 rimfire and S&S Firearms has centerfire blocks that will easily change out converting it to a centerfire carbine. The metal has been lightly cleaned and has no original finish remaining.
