High Condition Silver Finished Engraved F. D. Bliss Cartridge Conversion Revolver. Engraved by the hand of Louis D. Nimschke himself, this is a very rare variation of an already scarce revolver. This pistol shows 98% of the original silver finish and is absolutely untouched. Matching serial numbers are found throughout the pistol. The grips are excellent. Mechanically this revolver functions as it should. Inscribed on the backstrap appears to be "P T James NY". A very similar inscription is found in the L.D. Nimschke Firearms engraver book. This gun has been tucked away in a collection for the past 50 years and was just brought out to the public at a recent show which is where I purchased it at. Only one other engraved Bliss Cartidge Conversion is known and is in no comparison against this example. It would be hard pressed to find even a Black Powder example engraved in this kind of condition! Extremely rare Revolver and the easily the best. Shipping is $20 plus actual insurance.
