At some point, it was re-barreled with a Single Action Army barrel chambered in .38-40. This revolver was also beautifully and professionally restored at some point in its life. The gun was professionally polished and case hardened without obscuring the original serial numbers. Only the circle around the Rampant Colt is slightly diminished. This is a nicely done restoration, without being over done, at a fraction of the cost of an original in like condition. This revolver has a mint bore and fantastic mechanics.
