Description:
The Remington Model 700 is one of the most famous, and most popular bolt action rifles ever made, so much so that it is still in production 55 years after its introduction! In that same year (1962), the 7mm Remington Magnum was introduced. It would be an understatement to say that Remington hit a couple home runs when they introduced the 700 and 7mm Magnum. Their rifle was found to be very suited to long range shooting as was the cartridge. It can be argued that the 7mm Remington Magnum was the first 28-caliber cartridge to achieve true popularity in the United States. It is particularly well suited for use against elk and similar sized game with heavy bullets but can be used for coyote at extreme distances with lighter bullets. It has also been used as a sniper round on various occasions by police departments. The Model 700 rifle has been used all over the world by hunters, military snipers, police, and match target shooters. The Model 700 Sendero Special SF is built for long range shooting. It has a 26”, fluted heavy barrel which helps keep the barrel from heating as quickly as on lighter barrels. The stock is a durable synthetic model for use in all weather conditions. The bipod fitted is a Harris 1A2 Ultralight. Mounted on the rifle is a powerful Tasco 10-40x50mm scope equipped with a long sunshade. The rifle is in excellent condition. The stainless finish exhibits no scratches or other wear marks. The bore is in great condition and appears to have been cleaned frequently assuming the gun has been fired. It really is that clean. The scope exhibits surface wear with respect to the rubber coating on the body. Otherwise the scope is fully functional. As with any magnum-chambered Remington 700, magazine capacity is 3 rounds. The Remington 700 is one the best rifles on the market, and the 7mm Remington Magnum is one of the most versatile cartridges out there. If you are looking for a good long-range shooter the Sendero Special SF is a fine choice.
