Description:

SCARCE Weimar-Era DWM 1919 LUGER Pistol C&R

Interwar Luger Made for Export Following WWI

Here we present a Weimar-era DWM 1919 Luger Pistol, made circa 1919 in Berlin, Germany. With the close of World War I and the imposition of the Treaty of Versailles DWM lost its biggest customer, the Imperial German military. In order to stay in business, DWM began making and exporting pistols in earnest.

This is such a pistol, made directly after the end of World War I. It has an undated chamber with a “DWM” monogram atop the toggle. “Crown/N” proof marks may be seen on the exterior. The side plate is marked “GERMANY”. It comes in a well-used leather holster that saw military service.

The overall condition is near fine. The blue finish about 85%. The markings are clear. The serial numbers match with the exception of the magazine base.

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.

Barrel is 4 inches.

Caliber: 7.65mm Luger

Overall condition as seen in photos.
