We are offering for sale a Walther P38 semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm caliber. This is a very scarce “byf 42” marked pistol with correct “Eagle/135” proofs. The gun remains in 70-80% condition with (2) magazines and leather holster. ALL MATCHING NUMBERS GUN.
5” barrel is very good with scattered wear, blue loss. The bore remains bright and clean with strong rifling. The barrel is marked with correct serial number. The slide remains very good with slight blue loss; Crisp “byf 42” and “eagle/135” marks. The frame condition matches that of the slide with bluing fading and crisp marks. Slide and barre numbers match that of the barrel. Semi-auto action functions flawlessly. The grips are period correct but are mismatched; Left grip is black and right is brown. This pistol comes with (2) factory magazines: one magazine marked “p.38v” and “eagle/359” mark; The other magazine is marked “p.38” also with “eagle/359” mark. The period correct leather holster is good with some missing stiches, surface wear.
