Description:
Caliber 44-40. 4300 serial range and has all the correct features for a gun of that vintage. Nice crisp tight action. Original dust cover. Bright shiny bore. Wood is in very nice condition with correct sling swivels. Considerable amount of varnish remaining. Set trigger. Barrel has about 75% thinning blue. Mag tube is mostly grey/blue color. Receiver has about 60% blue remaining. Sharp corners. The only flaw is that someone put an extra dovetail in the barrel. This has been remedied with a well fitted blank. It now has a folding ladder Winchester 66 style sight.
