Description:
A.H. Fox A Grade Philly 12ga shotgun. Serial # 16720 early Philly A grade gun manufactured in 1911. Numbers matching on receiver, forend and barrels. Tight lockup and lever is right of center. Stock has a “decelerator” pad and checking is sharp. 28" Barrels, 2 3/4” chambers, stamped Savage Arms Chicopee Falls, MA (indicates the gun was sent to Savage at some point during its life for factory work.) Not sure on choke size, but a dime fits in right barrel and only fits 1/2 way in the left. Some light pitting on left side barrel, bores are nice. Length of pull = 13 1/2", 14 1/4" Drop at heel 2 1/4" Drop at comb 1 1/4". Not a museum piece but it's a nice tight early A grade Fox. Priced to sell As-is no returns.
