Description:
This is another fine Smith & Wesson handgun coming out of my personal collection. I bought the gun new back in the 70's and have fired it very little over the years. It has remained in my safe since and periodically cleaned.
As you can see from the pictures, the gun is in almost new condition. I might add that these original S&W target grips alone a worth over $200. Please note that a couple of the close up pictures I had to use the flash and it distorts the color of the edge of the cylinder. This is a model 29-2, in j44 Magnum caliber which means it has the recessed cylinder and pinned barrel. Is all that I can say is that they don't make them like this anymore!!
This is a nice collectible piece in that in addition to the hard to find 8 3/8 in barrel it had the wooden presentation case and the original tools.
