U.S. Springfield Model 1816 Flintlock musket. Lock plate and barrel tang are dated 1827. Proof marks are visible. Metal is in the white, looks to be cleaned at some point. Wood is good, does have visible cartouche. Wood has been lightly sanded. Good looking 1816!
