Lang & Hussey Ltd., 102 New Bond St London in .458 Winchester Magnum with a 23 1/2" barrel with ramp front sight, banded sling swivel, and three leaf rear sight with one standing and two folding leaves. Bore is excellent. Built on a 1929 Oberndorf commercial Mauser barreled action which was originally chambered in 10.75x68 and at some point rebored and rechambered to .458 Win Mag. All matching Mauser serial numbers on barrel, action, bolt, and small parts. Trigger bow floorplate release. Timney fully adjusable trigger. English style pistol grip stock with pancake cheekpiece, bakelite grip cap, and horn forend tip. Crossbolted with point pattern checkering with mullered border. LOP is 13 1/2" to a very nice leather covered pad. Appropriate big bore weight of 10lb 1oz with weight added to the stock both fore and aft producing excellent balance. This is a very nice piece with excellent condition, weight, and balance. Lang and Hussey was only in business for a few years before the turn of the century before being absorbed into Joseph Lang & Sons however the name continued in use for an unknown length of time.
