Known as the "rifleman's rifle," the model 70 has been popular throughout history with hunters, and has also seen use from law enforcement and military snipers. Shooting Times magazine awarded the Winchester 70 the title "Gun of the Century" in 1999. Chambered in .257 Roberts, known for its manageable recoil and flat trajectory. This model 70 features a checkered wood stock and 20 inch barrel. It's in excellent condition overall; the rifling is strong and clean, ready for any hunt or range day. Included in this package is a the original box and paperwork. A great all-around rifle, and a great addition to any collection.
