Description:
This is an earlier HRA (Harrington Richardson Arms M1 Garand that remains exactly as shipped from the CMP on 6-27-2001. U.S Re-Arsenaled but still retains its HRA factory original ‘’HRA 7-54’’ barrel! Also the Bore with only a dry patch ran through it appears Excellent+/Minty with throat gauging at only a 3! . (‘’Barrel Chamber In The White’’) Note: Moisture appears to have gotten into the arsenal packing while it was in storage on mostly the rear area of the receiver with rust/pitting on the rear legs, lower receiver where contact against the stock and receiver under the left side below the rear sight and on the rear receiver and a bit on the right rail. It is still quite a fully intact and functional receiver with nice coloring on appx the center and front 2/3rd portion. The balance of the metal parts rate appx. 85% to 90% overall The finish on the barrel is outstanding rating 98% with what appears to be HRA factory original and even the barrel chamber is ‘’in the white’’ attesting to its factory originality. All things considered this would truly make a superb shooter and priced very right as even a parts rifle! Later Re-Arsenaled in the mid/late 1950’s or 1960’s, then put into light service and sent to the CMP then later sold through the CMP Program. Used serviceable wood set with normal wear as to be expected rates appx VG. Action/mechanically appears fine, *Still has the original arsenal tag on the front sight! Comes with original CMP shipping box, Invoice, Paperwork and manual. *Note: All information is intact except all owners personal information is removed.
