Going by the SN this is a later HRA (Harrington Richardson Arms M1 Garand that remains exactly as shipped from the CMP on 9-26-2000. FYI: This is quite a unique HRA variation that also indeed appears to be All ‘’HRA’’ matching thru out PLUS it retains its Factory original ‘’HRA 2-52’’ barrel! (FYI: Our HRA offering has the exact same barrel date as the CGA Featured Rifle article! That is correct and all information on this variation is very well explained in the fine Garand Collectors Journal Volume 27, Issue 1 Winter 2012 ‘’Featured Rifle’’ Article on HRA SN 5780569, pages 3 to5 by Dave McClain! *Read article closely so Please use this as your Reference Guide. It is as follows: The Bore with only a dry patch ran through it appears Excellent+/Minty with throat gauging at only a 3! . (‘’Barrel Chamber In The White’’) Other than minor cycling wear on receiver and *places on the upper front barrel area between the gas cylinder rings just behind the front sight (appx 3’’ area) the metals overall HRA Factory finish rates at appx 90% to 95%. (*Again refer to the GCA Article for all pertaining information, especially on the barrel finish.) Overall quite a nice and very unique HRA example that indeed appears to be ALL Factory Matching and Original to include all correct HRA marked parts. Seeing what appears to have been light service and then sent to the CMP then later sold through the CMP Program. Even the Walnut wood set appears to be original HRA with a perfect deep, sharp and crisp original HRA National Defense Stamp Cartouche and ‘’Circle P’’ pistol grip proof! Though the CMP regards the wood sets as ‘’serviceable’’ this wood set is much better simply showing normal wear as to be expected and rates at VG+ or better. Butt plate typically on all rifles shows wear/finish loss. Action/mechanically it is fine with a very tight fit ‘’draw’’ in the trigger housing/trigger guard area when closed and still having the glued on label inside the trigger housing inner floor. Comes with original CMP shipping box, Invoice, Paperwork and manual. *Note: All information is intact except all owners personal information is removed.
