Description:
Serial #1202 (Wilkinson #6851 trigger guard and 6852 on the grip), .450 Caliber, 5 1/2" octagon barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This revolver retains 90-95% of the original bright blue finish with scattered spots of plum-brown freckling, and thin silvering along some of the high edges, particularly at the muzzle. The hammer and cylinder retention screw plate retain much of their original bright nitre blue finish, and there is some further pinprick pitting on the trigger guard, and butt cap. The checkered walnut grip is in fine condition with some minor handling marks and small blemishes, but no cracks, or chips. The lock-up is tight, and the action functions flawlessly in both single, and double-action. This is a splendid example of a Model 1884 Wilkinson, and rates excellent condition overall. Antique
