Description:
This is a bayonet for the 1910 Ross military rifle, and measures 14 5/8" overall with a 10 1/8" straight, single-edged blade. The blade has an overall bright patina dulling to pewter gray, and has visible cleaning marks on both sides. The hilt has the short quillon with small disk finial, and narrow muzzlering, and both Ross Rifle Co. and Canadian military acceptance marks on the squared pommel. The metal retains about 90% of the original blue finish with silvering and bright metal on the high edges and projections. The original leather scabbard is included which has a visible “C / (Broad Arrow)" stamp on the integral frog, and has minor surface scuffs and blemishes. This is an excellent example of a desirable, military-issued Ross bayonet overall.
