Description:
This 1890 Turkish bayonet was shortened to 15" OAL with 8 3/4 inch blade. Ricasso shows clear Tughra (seal of Turkish Sultan) with number on guard. Pommel is stamped "ASFA". Bright blade is in very good condition with a couple nicks in edge and minor pitting scattered about. Guard and pommel show a brown patina; wood grips are very good with small chips, Tughra marks and signs of use. The unmarked scabbard is all steel with ball finial retaining 80% blue and traces of a japanned black finish. A very good example for the collector.
