Description:
I don’t know much about this one other than it’s old and sharp and ornate. I’m told it is a French Rapier Sword. The S shaped guard is very detailed with vines and flowers and has a leather disc on the ricasso. the handle looks to be made of horn with a fluted design and brass fluted pommel that is very slightly loose. The guard, grip handle and blade are tight. The blade is very sharp with 2 grooves on each side. Overall length is about 15 1/4” with the handle being around 4 1/2” including the guard. The blade is about 7/8” at the widest point. I offer a 3 day inspection with a full refund (Buyer pays return shipping) if it is returned in same condition as it was shipped.
