Description:
This Colt "Lightning" model is the first slide action rifle offered by Colt. It was only manufactured between 1884 and 1904. There was a total 89,912 produced in .22 short and .22 long. It was offered as a plinking and gallery gun. It was made with a case hardened hammer that has a checkered spur top. The rifling on this gun is in great condition. This gun manufactured in 1900 is a great add to a collector as not many .22 cal. slide action were made by Colt.
