John Rigby Double Rifle - 350 Rigby Magnum (a.k.a 350#2). SN: 17920. 26" barrels with quarter rib express sights. 51 1/2 cordite proof and 225grain max bullet weight. One standing (200yds) and two folding (300 & 400yds). Hand-filed rib. Barrels marked: (L) "John Rigby & Co. 43 Sackville St. London, W", (R) "SIGHTED FOR RIGBY'S HIGH VELOCITY RIGBY No2 CARTRIDGE POINTED BULLET 225 GRAIN". Strong border engraved boxlock action with double underbite lugs and dolls head extension with third fastener crossbolt. Both frame sides marked "JOHN RIGBY & CO". Bushed firing pins. Ejectors. Double triggers. Automatic safety with "SAFE" in gold. Solid straight grain english walnut stock with steel capped pistol grip. Solid brown recoil pad. Lever release forend. Sling swivels on stock and barrel. Dimensions: 15 1/8"LOP x 1 1/2" DAC x 2 3/8 DAH. Swarovski Habicht 1.25x4x24 swing mount scope with post & crosshair duplex reticle. Weights: 10lb12oz w/ scope, 9lb11oz w/o scope, barrel weight 5lb7oz.
Condition: Gun is in excellent overall condition as partially retsored. All of a London quality reblue remains. Stock has been re-oiled and is clean and solid overall with only scant handling marks and a very small chip missing at lower right frame contact point. Checkering freshend and sharp. Barrels are on-face. Bore clean, bright, and with substantial rifling. Action closes like a bank vault. Ejectors strong and in time.
