Holland & Holland Modele de Luxe .300 H&H mag. Best quality take-down Mauser magazine rifle, circa 1988. Fabulous bolt action by the renowned Holland & Holland London. 24" barrel with signature spear point quarter rib, one standing, two folding sights. Special order turnover night front sight. Superb deep relief bold acanthus leaf engraving by Geoffrey Casbard who with Ken Hunt trained under the great Harry Kell. The floorplate depicts a leopard portrait. Rifle features the quick detachable Holland scope mount system with a Zeiss Diavari 1.5 ...6 X 42. Push forward safe, case colored trap grip cap contains original spare sight. A gorgeous stock of rich, dark walnut with black swirl figure and fiddleback throughout measures 14" over a rubber pad, ebony forend tip. The rifle is in about 99% condition overall, showing very little use. Weighs 9 lbs., 7 oz. A fabulous rifle priced at less than half replacement cost!
