Description:
This vintage Ruger Mini-14 is really a cool outfit and is in excellent original condition. This particular rifle was made in 1987, and is a factory blue finish gun with a colorful laminate stock. It has been customized with an aftermarket flash hider which also incorporates a bayonet lug, as well as a really cool Mini-14-specific "Ultralux" 4-power scope that has an elevation adjustment knob calibrated to the .223 Remington's balistics on a single arm side-mount. Between the fancy stock, flash hider, and scope this is a really good looking Ruger Mini-14. From what we can tell while this Ruger has been shot, it has not been shot much and has been well cared-for. The original factory high gloss blue finish is still nice and bright with only some very minor wear, and the bore is clean and free from any pitting, erosion, or imperfections. The green/brown laminate stock is in excellent condition. The wood is free from any cracks, chips, or repairs, and the only wear showing on the stock is some tiny handling marks visible only under close inspection. The factory adjustable rear sight is in perfect working order, and has been customized with the addition of a aperture installed into the peep sight. The customer flash hider / bayonet lug is in excellent condition and is blued like the rest of the rifle. This flash hider is pinned onto the barrel and very secure. It is designed to accept the standard M16 / AR15 bayonet, the U.S. Military M7 knife bayonet. All of the controls on this Mini-14 work 100% like the day the gun left the factory and the mechanics are in superb condition. The action is smooth when worked by hand, and the bolt goes into battery with authority. The Ultralux scope mounted on this Ruger is in excellent condition with bright and clear optics. It has a standard crosshair reticle and as mentioned before, a elevation adjustment knob that balistically matched to the .223 cartridge and is marked in yardages. The scope mount is easily removeable without tools but is mounted in such a way that you can still use the iron sights even with the scope installed. This Mini-14 comes with one factory 20-round magazine in excellent condition. We also have a factory 5-round magazine available for it for an additional cost, or instead of the 20-round mag if the new owner so chooses or lives in a state where the 20-round magazine is banned. If you have been looking for a cool new addition for your collection that would be both a blast to shoot at the farm/range and an excellent long-term investment, this Mini-14 would be a great choice.
